Information we collect
We collect your email address to verify access to your account. To make a reservation, we also collect the reservation holder's name, identification type and NRC or passport number, chosen screening and number of tickets. We do not request identification photographs or the identity details of accompanying guests.
We keep reservation changes, cancellation and ticket collection records, together with limited technical records such as login times, session information, IP addresses used for security controls and email processing status. We record the version of this notice you acknowledge.
How we use your information
We use this information to verify your email address, manage your reservation, enforce the festival's ticket limits, display your ticket collection code, help staff check your identity and record the exchange of your reservation for paper tickets. Technical information helps us prevent abuse and investigate operational problems.
Reservations are free. We do not use this service to send marketing messages or sell your personal information.
Who can access it
Authorised administrators can manage reservations and access operational reports. Authorised ticket collection staff can view the details associated with a ticket code, including the reservation holder's identification number, to assist with collection.
Cloudflare Email Service processes the email address and verification message needed to send your email. We do not include your name or identification number in these verification messages. Our hosting provider supplies the infrastructure used to operate and store the service. Provider-held records are subject to their applicable service and retention arrangements.
Your ticket code and account
Keep your login session and ticket code private. Anyone holding your current ticket code may present it for collection, subject to staff checks. Staff are prompted to check the reservation holder's identification details. A reservation for several tickets must be collected in full at one time.
You can view your reservation after email verification or while your session remains valid. Before collection, you may update eligible details; changes to ticket quantity or screening depend on booking windows and availability. Self-service cancellation is available before the screening's booking deadline. Your email address cannot be changed directly. Once tickets have been collected, the reservation and its identity details are locked and the same email address cannot reserve again for this festival.
Cookies
We use a necessary session cookie to keep you signed in for up to seven days. Signing out ends that session. The cookie contains a session credential, not your identification number. This service does not require advertising cookies.
Retention and deletion
The organiser will retain personal information for no longer than 15 days after the festival ends. Operations staff will then delete the festival Cloudflare application and associated storage and remove personal-data copies under the organiser's control, including relevant backups, snapshots and exported files. This is a manual operational process.
Deleting the festival application does not automatically remove records held separately by the email or hosting provider. Questions about those records can be directed to the privacy contact above.
Questions and requests
Contact niu_zhaolong@mfa.gov.cn to ask about your information or request access, correction or deletion. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Requests concerning locked ticket collection records will be handled by the organiser rather than through the reservation editing screen.
Your email address is required to use email login. Your name and an NRC or passport number are required to make a reservation. If you do not wish to provide them, contact the organiser about any available alternatives.
